Overview

  • Tier One Technologies is looking for a Computer Support Technician to support a US Government client.
  • This is a 1-year, onsite contract position with the potential for a 4-year extension.
  • The work will be performed at client offices in Minneapolis, MN and St. Paul, MN.
  • Occasional travel may be required for official business as well as training. Evening and weekend work may be required at times. 
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties on a regular and recurring basis under the close supervision of the IT Systems Manager.
  • Support an Information Technology (IT) environment that includes desktop and laptop computers, a local area network (LAN), Microsoft SQL Server, web-based applications, mobile and wireless technologies, and case management and litigation support systems.
  • Conduct testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, maintenance, and management of networked systems used for the transmission of data, voice, and video—ensuring system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures and tools.
  • Provide customer support service including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training in response to user requirements.
  • Provide IT customer support, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, inventory management and/or training.
  • Assist the IT Systems Management staff in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of networked systems.
  • Perform assignments related to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, security, and availability of systems, networks and data; performs routine assignments in support of the Office intranet and internet sites, including converting content into workable web pages, checking links, repairing errors, etc.
  • Assist in the planning, development and coordination of litigation support and case management service.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of IT Support specialized experience.
  • Prior experience working with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve issues, and meet or exceed expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of available products and services, with a demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Proven ability to identify problems, assess the accuracy and relevance of information, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and make well-informed recommendations.
  • Prior experience with DOJ office automation environments is a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Must have resided in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years immediately prior to the start of performance on this contract or have worked for the United States overseas in a federal or military capacity, or be a dependent of a federal or military employee serving overseas.
