Overview
- Tier One Technologies is looking for a COBOL developer with Changeman and ServiceNow experience to support our US Government client.
- This will be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position.
- SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities
- Independently analyze and develop innovative resolutions for complex problems, implements solutions independently and as part of a team.
- Create ServiceNow Change requests following occurred system’s problems.
- Scan libraries to find instances of key words / phrases to help research issues.
- May lead project teams within assigned units develop, plan and manage project tasks.
- Participate in meetings relating to specific technical projects or tasks
- Develop, plan, and manage project tasks and maintain IT documentation.
- Provide training to less experienced team members, if needed.
Qualifications
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then 4 additional years of related experience is required
- 10+ years of experience working with COBOL & DB2.
- Proven experience utilizing Changeman to create packages and promote code.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management Systems – specifically ServiceNow
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes and management tools (preferably VersionOne)
- Familiarity with security certificates and how they are used to protect transmission of data between various computer devices.
- Must understand and analyze network firewalls and how they are implemented to provide secure enclaves to protect servers and database resources.
- Ability to perform analysis of customer requirements and to design related technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to translate between business and technical concepts).
- All candidates must be US Citizens or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded.
