Overview
- Tier One Technologies is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator with strong RAC and 19c experience.
- This is going to be a 100% remote position.
- Must be willing to occasionally work overnight and weekends shifts.
- SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities
- Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management, and production for Oracle databases.
- Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks.
- Database Upgrades to include working with project managers and managing individual projects for DB upgrades.
- Backup & Recovery.
- Apply patches and upgrade database versions.
- Install and Build database structures.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts.
- Query and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain documentation.
- Program in PL/SQL.
- Performance tuning of databases.
- Reviews database design and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
- Maintains security and integrity controls.
- Develop stored procedures and/or triggers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
- 6+ years of Oracle production support DBA experience; specifically, RMAN, OEM, and RAC.
- Experience working with large multi-node RAC databases.
- Proven experience with Oracle 19c databases.
- Knowledge or experience with
- Familiarity with architecture, both logical and physical design.
- Must be flexible and willing to work on-call, overnights and weekends as needed.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
- All candidates must be US Citizens or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded.
