Overview

  • Tier One Technologies is seeking a Sr. Disaster Recovery Administrator to support our US Government client’s Data Center and variety of Facilities initiatives.
  • This hybrid position will be located in Eagan, MN. 
  • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology.
  • Conduct risk management analysis and create business continuity, contingency, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Develop and execute the testing processes utilized to validate the disaster recovery plans and to identify weaknesses and failure points in the plans.
  • Develop the organization's resumption plan including identifying and securing necessary off-site resources and ensuring action plans are in place and communicated to IT and operations teams.
  • Work on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and perform all functional duties independently.
  • Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Perform technical leadership role in support of Data Center and facility network projects.
  • Design and implement standards-based physical layer connectivity through complex routing protocols and Voice-over-IP implementations.
  • Responsible for Cisco Nexus 9000 Spine/Leaf, 7000, 5000 and 2000 series and a variety of L2 switches.
  • Create and apply switch and core router configurations i.e. Upgrade IOS and NX-OS images and ensure they are all company’s standardized.
  • Work with vPC, Trunking, logging, monitoring and OSPF, EIGRP, Static routing solutions.
  • Plan for placement of network routers, switches, and other equipment in cooperation with other units and personnel; as well as vendors, telecom carriers, and others.
  • Work with counterparts in other locations to duplicate networking in Eagan for Disaster Recovery.
  • Determine locations for new equipment with facilities, plan locations for fiber patch panel infrastructure.
  • Plan cabling connections between equipment and network infrastructure.
  • Produce detailed documentation of cabling requirements for use by installers.
  • Submit wiring Requests for Network equipment to Servers and a variety of other hosts.
  • Maintain documentation of installed network equipment and cabling.
  • Document Data Center with detailed Visio drawings including physical device connectivity through cores and routing. Document IP addressing, Vlans and physical locations for network devices in other locations.
  • Troubleshoot network errors and failures.
  • Optimize network by reviewing performance to identify and correct network issues.
  • Provide on-going maintenance and perform upgrades of network hardware and software.

Qualifications

  • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred.
  • 13+ years of Network Administration experience.
  • 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree is required.
  • If the individual’s degree is not in the applicable field - also 4 additional years of related experience is required.
  • Expert knowledge in performing Disaster Recovery procedures.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco equipment.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
  • Excellent communication and customer support skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), and not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
  • Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
